i'm getting my first car tomorrow :]

it's a 1993 volvo 850, and it has 180,000 miles on the body.
but theres a brand new motor and timing belt in it,

so how many more miles do you think i'll get to? i barely go on the highway if that matters...

good choice.

umm, for a manual trans, you'll get 18 city 27 hwy

and an auto you'll get 18 city and 26 hwy.

-Edit

If this is a brand new engine, most 850's will make it to 200k with no problem, some have reached 500,000 I would say the average is 180,000 to 200,000. You can look on ebay for 850's for sale. Rarely will you see many over 200,000 miles. Your engine will probably be the last thing to go bad on that car now.

3 hundred,000 mile and greater if universal maintenance is carried out on time in basic terms stay removed from 1998 to 2004 noticeably the s80 2005 and up volvo did solid yet ive seen Volvo's with as much as 600,000 it develop right into a 850 R

treat your volvo well, and it will do the same to you, I have an '84 240, and have had it for over six years, right now it has about 200,000 miles and is still running strong. Keep up with the routine maintenance, and you will have a reliable car for a long time. One time I drove mine back to madison WI from Manchester TN with bad motor mounts.

I had my Volvo back in 1990, lasted me until 2000.

if its a volvo engine you'll get over 300,000 miles, if it isn't its hard to say, my 1992 240 has 218,000 on it

If properly maintained an serviced....the motor will out last the body.
